Daisy Nichols Cox, 83, of Culpeper, died on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at her residence.
She was born in Rappahannock County on June 13, 1914.
She was a homemaker.
Her parents were the late Ernest Nichols and Alice Jenkins Nichols.
Her husband was the late Emmitt Cox.
Survivors include two sons Douglas Kemper Hawkins of Culpeper and Charles William Hawkins and his wife Catherine of Culpeper; one daughter Mary Frances Curtis and her husband Roger of Culpeper; two brothers Robert Nichols of Front Royal and Maury Nichols of Luray and five sisters Jane Thomas of Pawley’s Island, S.C., Ann Collins of Hampton, Bertha Kozyck of Forrest Hill, Md., Betty Rice of Roanoke and Helen Leake of Culpeper.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, Scott and Pam Curtis, Joy Curtis Holt, Winnie Williams and Joan Hawkins and three greatgrandchildren, Taylor Holt, Aubri Curtis and Justin May mi.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Feb. 15 at the Clore-Geest Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John S. Farrar officiating.
Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
