His presence on the WCDS jasketball team has buoyed :eam spirit. “They’re stronger defensively, they’re all playing setter knowing Jack will be there,” said coach Bill Castellan. “Jack is a great allaround athlete. He would rather make a good pass than a good shot. If you love the game that’s what you do.”
During warm ups, Namvou’s feet are always dancing, and he surprises refs with his hackey-sack type antics, bouncing the ball off curved-up feet, knees and body without once letting it touch the ground. During the game he gives his all.
“I like to win,” he confides. “But I don’t think of victory directly. I think about fun first.”
Before the game he is often wearing headphones, in fluid movement with his favorite music. “To have fun, I want to take the rhythm. It’s why I start with the music — then easily I am able to take the rhythm for the game. I’m not
