All students competed in four preliminary rounds. One Rappahannock student, Ian Blubaugh, earned first place in all four preliminary rounds. To qualify for the fifth and final round competition (and a trophy award) each student had to place in the top six in his or her respective category.

The Lynchburg tournament markfed the third time the team has traveled this season, whjcljf iricluded Richmond on Dec. 11 and Charlottesville on Rappahannock will host for the- fourth consecutive year the Bull Run District Toumamettbon Wednesday, Feb. 23.
