Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Jan. 22 at Found and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. John Burke officiating. Internment followed in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Jefferson ton.
Pallbearers were John Lloyd Jenkins III, Wayne Corbin, Eddie Jenkins, Bobby Jenkins, Charles Jenkins, Russell McKinley Racer Jr., Timothy Racer and James Leake.

Finley Franklin “Buck” Updike, 78, of Luray died on Saturday, Jan. 15 in Luray.
He was born Oct. 5, 1921 in Washington, Va., a son of the late John Franklin and Kate Moffat Updike.
Mr. Updike was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a supervisor for Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission for 22 years.
He was a member of the Luray United Methodist Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Comer-Jones Post 621 in Luray and the Moose Lodge No. 1504 in Richmond.
On April 25, 1947, he married the former Helen Elizabeth Russell, who died on June 19, 1999.
He is survived by a son, Steven G. Updike of Lothian, Md.; a daughter, Linda A. Volpe of DuBois, Pa. and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 19 at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. David W. Lord. Burial with military rites was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray.
