Agricultural-Forestal l.

District changes

As its first review” of the yeaf^ the * Commission considered Newbill j.; ■ Miller’s application for a tag-on to the Haskell Agricultural-Forestal j. District of two parcels that had been withdrawn from that district in 1995 “for estate planning purposes.” The application was unanimously approved.

The Commission next considered the application of Robert Bridges of Reality Farm to withdraw 25 acres from the Jenkins Mt. A-F District which, according to Mr. Bridges, will “remain in farm use.”

Mr. Bridges noted that he had recently donated a conservation easement of 200 acres to the Virginia Outdoors Foundation, had voluntarily reversed a 20 acre family subdivision, and had placed a covenant giving up the right for any future family subdivisions, thus assuring that the “property will always remain as it is.” After supporting public comment from Dick McNear and Bob Dennis, who characterized the application as “a win-win for the county,” the application was also unanimously approved.
