Tai Chi class set
N ■ Culpeper Memorial "Hospital has asked the Rappahannock Healing Arts Center to sponsor a free “Five series class” on Tai Chi Chih to community members. As part of their outreach program, Director Karen Smith-Gerndt will lead participants through a series of 20 simple movement^ that are slow j and gentle. They san easily be done by anyone, regardless of age or physical condition. A$ a moving meditation, TCC has been found to be a gentle stress reliever, yet is considered to be a very powerful “centering experience” in which the body gets to participate. This five class series is designed to allow you to use these movements at home, integrating it into your daily routine. Hand-outs will be provided. It is suggested that you contact Karen so she can bring the correct amo'unt of materials. Loose, comfortable clothing is suggested. The class will meet at Rappahannock Healing Arts Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The first class began Jan. 25 and will continue until £eb. 8 from 6 - 7 p.m. Call Karen at 829-4190 for information. There is no charge, however, donations to the center are welcome.
