It may be safe to say that, what with one thing and another, the bride and groom really don’t see their wedding until the photos are developed.
So how do they make sure they pick the right photographer? Rudolph Joseph Photography in Warrenton offers some tips:
• Spell everything out in a contract. Address issues such as what happens if Die photographer cancels, if the wedding film is damaged, or the wedding date is changed. Does the photographer get fed? (The caterer will need to know.) Who keeps the proofs and negatives?
• Don’t be afraid to ask questions. How long after the wedding will we see the proofs? Can some (or all) of the wedding be shot in black and white, or can the color photos be printed as highquality black and white images later? Does the photographer have “set” pictures he takes at all weddings or can we choose the poses and groupings that are important to us?
• Find out if there will be an opportunity for on-location formal photos the day of the wedding. Some photogra
