Students of Rappahannock County Middle School and Rappahannock County High School are busy getting their science projects ready for theRappahannock Science Fair, which will be held on Feb. 3-4. The public is invited to visit the Science Fair from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3.
Students at the Middle School level are investigating a variety of topics. For animal lovers there are: Kate Kruczynski’s Gerbil Psychology, Ben Rupchis’ The Effect of Weather on the Eating Habits of Birds, Jeff Burke’s The Effect of Scents on the Training of Coon hounds, Dustin White’s The Effect of Environment on the Response of Earthworms, Emma Clough’s The Effects of Conditioners on Horse Coat Quality, Mazie Drake’s Are Virginia Songbirds in Trouble? Megan Humbles’ Does Light Equal Flight?, Ashleigh Burke’s The Affect of the Full Moon on Animal Behavior.
Those who like human studies should check out: Lauren Kruczynski’s The Effects of Different Types of Music on the Mood and Blood Pressure of Different Aged People and Brittany Thornhill’s The Effect of Calcium on the Human Body.
