If the budget for education submitted by outgoing Governor Gerald Baliles is approved by the General Assembly, Rappahannock County will receive $28,000 less in state aid for its schools next year than is expected this year. In addition the state money for education will be another $28,000 less for the 1991-92 year than for 1990-91. Superintendent David Gangel gave the School Board this news at the board’s January meeting last Tuesday, which was rescheduled from Jan. 9 because of snow. Floyd Grigsby has been named General Manager of the Wetsel Seed Company by Southern States Cooperative of Richmond. A native of Rappahannock County, Mr. Grigsby is a graduate of Virginia Tech. The Rappahannock Woman’s Club annual fashion show will be held on March 11 at Rappahannock County Elementary School. This year’s theme, Country Reflections will feature fashions from Frank’s and Warren Quality in Front Royal and Peebles in Warrenton. —COMPILED BY BARBARA C. WAYLAND
