The RappahannocK-Rapidan Community Services Board announces a public hearing to be held during its regular meeting on February 8, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at its main offices at 18361 Bradford Road, Culpeper. The public hearing is being held to take public comments on service needs for the next three bienniums <2000 - 2006). Individuals interested in the future of publicly funded mental health, mental retardation, substance abuse and aging services that are provided by the RRCSB are encouraged to make comments either in person or in writing. Written comments must be received by February 28, 2000 and can be sent to the Attention of the Executive Director. RRCSB. P.O. Box 1568, Culpeper. Virginia 22701. PUBLIC HEARING

The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board, Culpeper, Virginia, provides transportation services for the elderly and disabled with Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Rappahannock, and Orange. These services transport individuals to and from rehabilitation programs, outpatient services, meal programs, and other programs operated by the RRCSB and private providers Funds are being requested from the Commonwealth of Virginia to purchase five (5) replacement vehicles through the FTA Section 5310 Program. These vehicles will be utilized to maintain existing services and replace vehicles in the current fleet with an excess of 150,000 miles We invite any interested public or private transit or paratransit operator within the Planning District 9 area to comment on the proposed services by sending a written notice by February 28, 2000 to Mr Neil Sherman, Department of Rail and Public Transportation, 1401 East Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219 and to the Attention of the Executive Director, RRCSB.
