Getting ideas
It’s a smart idea to get referrals from co-workers, friends, relatives and fellow church members — but especially from those who have recently been involved with a wedding, christening, anniversary, or other celebration.
When talking with possible suppliers, ask about celebrations that have worked particularly well. It might also be instructive to find out about what went wrong in those that didn’t.
Some facilities will allow couples to “check out” an ongoing event, but this must be pre-arranged.
Also keep in mind that deposits that may be refundable early on in the process become increasingly less so. Get it all in writing!
Will the wedding ceremony and the reception be held in the same establishment? This usually means that one room is needed for the ceremony and another for the reception.
What about using outdoor areas during nice weather? If that appeals, couples should visit the site at the same season of the year, day of the week and time of day on which their ceremony will be held. A lovely garden location in May
