While graduation is still a few years away, Phillip is looking towards a career in the U.S. Marines and/or sports, and possibly attending the United States Naval Academy.
Matt is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wolfe of Sperryville, and a senior at Rappahannock County High School where he is a member of the Varsity Cross Country and Soccer Teams. Matt was recently nominated to represent the county in the 1999 Wendy’s High School Heismann competition based on his excellence in citizenship, scholarship and athletics.
Currently in the process of completing college applications, he is considering Science and Engineering at either Virginia Tech or the University of Virginia. Matt has two brothers who are Eagle Scouts and a sister who has received the Girl Scout’s highest award, the Gold Award.
In addition to progressing through the lesser ranks and acquiring 21 merit badges, Phillip and Matt were required to complete a project demonstrating leadership which would benefit a non-profit organization.
Phillip’s project was restoration and improvement of throne mik bike/hike trail at the Child Care Learning Center. In addition to cutting brush and general clean up, wood chips were put down, two sizable, heavy duty benches built and installed, and new signs placed.
