On Saturday, the Ladies had to play George Mason in the second round. The team was very determined to win this round, so they could advance to the championship game and the regionals. The Panthers took control and won both games.
After a short break, the Panthers had to play Madison in the championship round. The game see-sawed back and forth with the Mountaineers coming out on top 15-8. Both teams continued to hustle in the second game, and Madison also won this game 15-10, to win the district championship.
The Panthers will play on Wednesday night in the first round of the regionals, at this time it has not been determined who they will face.
Congratulations to Meghan Fairbrother and Alice Gentry who won first team Bull Run District honors, and also to Rebekah Letsen who was named to the second team.
