Butler says, “I love the people. I couldn’t have better people to work with, anywhere. Everyone at this office carries their own load. It’s more than helpful. That’s what makes good mail service.” Butler’s big request
Going into the new millennium, Butler hopes that more people will give the post office their correct mailing address. She explains, “A street address is a 911 address for emergency purposes. It’s not always a mailing address. Sometimes we have no way of knowing where a person is or who they are if they don’t use the correct address.”
“If we’ve been here a long time and we know the individual, then we can deliver their mail. But if somebody new comes in and uses an incorrect address, it’s hard to find them.”
