Theodore A. “Hawkshaw” Himes, 83, of Front Royal died Tuesday, Feb. 8 at Life Care Center in New Market
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Feb. 12 at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. James Burke.
Burial was in Panorama Memorial Gardens at Waterlick.
Mr. Himes was born Feb. 3, 1917 in Augusta, Md., son of the late John F. and Roslia L. Himes.
He was a retired supervisor for Avtex. He was the husband of the late Hazel Gallion Himes.
Surviving are two sons, Gary L. Himes of Miami and Gilbert F. Himes Sr. of Chester Gap; five grandchildren, two step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mike Tharpe, Russell Tharpe, Gilbert Himes Jr., Hillard Tharpe Jr., Michael Ray Williams and Pete Dye.
