Mrs. Theresa Light of Woodville will be guest speaker at the next regular bimonthly meeting of Episcopal Church Women (ECW).
Mrs. Light’s subject will be “Communicating with People who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing”. She is well qualified to do so as she is a hearing daughter of deaf parents.
Her education includes a B.A. in Sociology, Mary Washington College; an M.S. j in Administration and Supervision, Gallaudet University, and she is a Nationally Certified Interpreter for the Deaf.
Her work experience has been, among other things, as counselor for the deaf in vocational rehabilitation where she has had a large number of clients across seven counties. She is a self-employed interpreter for the deaf.
Mrs. Light is on the Board of Directors for Headwaters, is a member of RCES ParentTeacher Organization, serves in the Curriculum Enrichment Program, American Cancer Society, and is Treasurer of the
