choose a different school. A school’s ongoing failure to meet the demands of its “educational consumers” would perish, much like a poor business, and great schools would thrive.
Our American economy is the envy of the world and has been forged through free market competition. Moreover, our system of colleges and universities, the best there is, has flourished in that same competitive environment.
Hundreds of these institutions compete for the best and the brightest high school graduates each year. These students, armed with such taxpayer funded government assistance as Pell Grants, Stafford Loans, and the G. I. Bill, can choose the public or private college which best fits their educational goals.
Is it not time we empower the parents of our K-12 children with this same freedom of choice.
