From last week’s rememberings of 50 plus years of Italian actor Marcello Mastroianni’s 150 plus films, (in Italian with sometimes hard to read sub-titles) we come this week, on Feb. 25, in British English, (no sub titles) to the third filming of Oscar Wilde’s 1895 British comedy, done earlier by Alexander Korda in 1947, and again by Anthony Asquith in 1952.
The play was amusingly done also at The Theatre, live, a few years ago by Christendom College players from Front Royal, (who will be returning this spring with “Harvey” thanks to Wendy Weinberg at The Theatre).
