I hope all of you got something nice from your sweetheart for Valentine’s Day. Spring is just around the corner, and what does that mean for our area children? Baseball!
The Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA) is having its registrations on the following days: Feb. 19 at the Rappahannock County Library from 10 a.m.-l p.m. and on Feb. 26 at Bill Payne’s Auction House from 10 a.m.1 p.m. The fees are 12 and under $35 and 16 and under $40. All children who have never played in the RAA must bring a copy of their birth certificate. The league has Tee Ball, Baseball and Girls Softball. “Youth Alive” met at the Viewtown Store on Saturday. Joyce Willoughby said that they had about 65 people in attendance. That is a great turnout, and they had a good time of fellowship. The next meeting is Feb. 26 at 7:30 to 9 p.m., and every second and fourth Saturday of each month. If you would like more information call 9374929 or 937-5210.
On Saturday, Michelle Hebert, Debbie Sutton, Terri Pennington and I took our GA Missions classes out for pizza and roller skating. I was not brave enough to skate, but Evan did great and Dylan held on tight to my hand. All the girls were great skaters and we had the best time. The girls range in age from seven to 12 and there was 24 of us all together.
