Eagle Scouts are eagerly sought after by colleges, the military, and employers, and are often given advanced entry standing, e.g., in the military an Eagle Scout recruit is generally brought in one pay grade higher than other recruits.
Many eagles continue their scouting by serving the Boy Scouts of America as adult leaders.
In our community, Skip Giles has done this, making Eagle as a member of Troop 123 in January 1990, he now serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster
