The move last week of the little brick building on Gay Street, the only home of the Rappahannock Historical Society since its founding in 1965, continued a long tradition in Washington of moving buildings around the town and marked the beginning of a new era for the society.
The building was originally a dependency of Avon Hall, before that house was moved form Gay Street to its present location on Warren Avenue, and had previously been moved in the 1960’s from the
