In 1977 Mrs. Nichols recommenced teaching full-time in the Warren County Public Schools, from which she retired in 1992. Mrs. Nichols has served as magistrate of Rappahannock for ten years and as church organist at Trinity Episcopal Church. She continues to be a major force in the annual House Tour and Dried Flower Sale at Trinity.
Cujj^ntly she is Vice-President of 'tti|Happahannock County LibSry Board of Trustees, is a member of the Headwaters Boafp of Directors, is on the Grev4 School Council, the Exte|$ion Leadership Council, andfthe Rappahannock County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. She is choral director at Trinity Episcopal Church and sings with (and one of the founding members of) the Front Royal Oratorio Society. In her spare time (if there is any) she enjoys traveling throughout the United States to visit children and grandchildren. There are four driving forces in Mrs. Nichols’ life: faith, family, friends and community. Of ail the contributions she has made throughout her life, though, she considers her proudest accomplishment to be her children.
