The Artist-In-Residency Project for RCES - “Making Waves - A Diversity of Forms, Functions and Feelings will be presented to the community on Thursday, March 2 at 7 p.m. and Friday , March 3 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. (snow dates Monday, March 6 for day times and Thursday, March 9 for evening).
The theme of this project “Making Waves” was chosen to inspire different ideas, perspectives and approaches in creating music, visual art, dance, theater and performance.
All of the second, third and fourth graders and many of the fifth, sixth and seventh graders have worked with one or more of the artists during the residency which began last September.
The artists presenting the program are Rose Marie Prins (visual artist), Paul Reisler (composer and musician) and Sharon Wyrrick (dance, drama, performance).
RCES teachers Joy Rollins, music and Harriette Rosenblatt, art, are the project coordinators.
The community is encouraged to mark this date and plan to attend “Making Waves.”
