Caledonia Farm -1812 B&B in Flint Hill is featured in the Country Roads section of the April 2002 issue of Blue Ridge Country.

Caledonia’s owner, Phil Irwin was the first landowner in the County to bestow an easement to the Virginia Outdoors Foundation.

Caledonia Farm is on both the Virginia Landmarks Register and the National Register of Historic Places and features a 200 year old home and 85 acres in addition to three-quarters of a mile of stone fencing.

Deadline nears on

candidate filing

Elections for the Town of Washington mayor, treasurer, and council positions is scheduled for May 7 and the deadline for candidate filing is rapidly approaching. As of Feb. 25 only two candidates have filed: Jerry Goebel for treasurer and Reinhardt Lynch for council.

Candidates must file by March 5 at the Registrar’s office.
