This investigation, carried out by Emery & Garrett Groundwater, Inc., of Meredith, N.H., addressed the features of the local bedrock geology and used what is called “lineament analysis” and fracture characterization to conclude that there was a moderate to good potential to supply groundwater from within the Centex Homes area.
But, as they say, the proof of the pudding is in the tasting. Drilling a well able to provide, for example, 330 gallons per day for a single family dwelling is one thing. Finding and drilling a series of wells able to each yield between 72,000 and 140,000 gallons per day to support a large community is another thing. Next time, more on the search for water.
