Saturday night’s Hoot for
Hearthstone School, held at the Blue Moon Cafe, raised $2,962 towards conversion of 25 percent of the school’s main building into a community performance, meeting, and activities space. The 25 percent raffle grossed $1,880 with winner Janet Kerig contributing half her spoils back into the kitty.
The Hearthstone student bands turned in stellar performances under the expert guidance of music teachers 'Dontez Harris and Beth iLevick, and three one-act plays by Hearthstone upper school students, directed by drama and English teacher Miranda Hope, were among the night’s high points.
