The RCHS squad had been working extremely hard to earn one of those spots. They executed their routine to precision in a tension packed environment. Lacking a higher degree of technical difficulty in their program and receiving some penalty points for not spotting their male stunts cost them just enough to fall short of their goal.
The Strasburg squad finished first, George Mason was second and Brentsville District High School third.
A great deal of praise should be extended to members of the team whose efforts earned them much respect for their performance. And as they so often say to the teams they cheer for, we now say to them — “We are PROUD of you!”
