As winter arrives each year basketball teams have dreams and goals of winning championships. Sometimes it does not work out that way but the athletes will always have their memories of the season and that night when they felt good about the way they played.
The end came for the Panthers at Clarke County High School on Tuesday night, Feb. 19. It was the first round of the Bull Run District Tournament and despite a lot of hustle and effort, it was really no contest.
The Clarke team was just too big and too fast as their big guns, Hubbard and Reid combined for 49 points.
Rapp junior Noah Starks led the Panthers with 12 points and senior Jeff Ritenour finished his final basketball game at RCHS with 10.
