• Saturday dawned softly, as cars filled with friends and family pulled into the parking lots of our school for the memorial service for Richard Abell. Amid flowers and candlelight, pictures of Richard, always smiling, welcomed everyone to this beautiful service. Friends hugged one another, and laughter Filled the halls as those who knew Richard, recounted favorite stories. It seemed Fitting to hold this gathering in a school, a place that the teacher and mentor loved. Thanks go out to all who were able to share this time together.
• Lacrosse and soccer practices are starting, with the first lacrosse game scheduled as a home game on March 6. Isn’t it great that we had a week off between seasons?
