• The basketball season at Wakefield Country Day School ground to a halt this past week, as the Lady Owls played games Monday and Tuesday nights in the Delaney Athletic Conference Play-offs.
Winning the first game on Monday evening against Wakefield Inc. placed the team into position for Tuesday's match-up against Word-of-Life in Springfield. The Lady Owls played a hard running game, but at the end. WOL walked away the victor.
All of the basketball teams at WCDS are to be congratulated for a wonderful season, made possible by much determination and hard work.
