This Master Water and Sewer Plan did not cover the Village Convenience Centers or the Cultural Centers. There were no great water needs for these types of villages. The Village Convenience Centers are an attempt to preserve the past, being located at rural crossroads, having a general store, cottage industries, and farms in the area.
Culpeper County has identified five: Catalpa, Griffinsburg, Midway, Merrimac, and Rixeyville.
Cultural Centers are villages of historic significance. They too preserve the past with their churches, post offices, community centers, and any existing country stores, etc. There are four: Jeffersonton, Lignum, Rapidan, and Winston.
