The ninth annual banquet for members of Amissville Fire Department, junior firemen and their guests was held Friday, Feb. 23 at the fire hall. The ladies of the auxiliary served a delightful dinner of ham and turkey.
The Ladies Auxiliary presented the Amissville Fire Company with a $1500 check at the banquet.
At the Pitts Park Theatre in Front Royal featured movies included: The Trapp Family and Babes in Toyland. At Pitts Drive-in Theatre in Culpeper features included 20,000 Eyes and Scream of Fear.
Newberrys in Culpeper, the one-stop shopping center, was advertising 45 RPM records at a special price of 23 cents each and rose bushes, all varieties, full twoyear field grown for only 59 cents each.
