Hedrick Davis Koontz of Winchester announces the engagement of his daughter Mary Virginia Koontz of Alexandria to John Wilhelm Morgenstieme Coleman of Alexandria, son of Mrs. John Adolphus Bernard Dahlgren of Huntly and John Howard Coleman of Locust Valley, N. Y.
Miss Koontz is also the daughter of the late Margaret Hayes Koontz. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Hayes of Leamybrien, County Waterford, Ireland, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Minor E. Koontz of Harrisonburg.
A graduate of Longwood College, she is employed by HLC-Westpark Inc. in McLean.
Mr. Coleman is a graduate of the University of Virginia and is a stockbroker with Kidder, Peabody and Company in Washington.
H« is the grandson of Mm. Wilhelm deMunthe Morgenstibme of Washington and the late Mr. Morgenstierne, who was ambassador to the United States from Norway, and of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Randolph Coleman of Danville.
A spring wedding is planned.
