Travel Trailer Page Oppased
A proposal fra* Fauquier County’s first travel trailer park is under consideration by the county Planning Commission and under attack from 173 neighbors.
Donald W. and Joyce Arsenault want to build a facility for a maximum of 50 travel trailer homes or recreational vehicles on Route 17 near Morrisville, in Southern Fauquier.
The couple chose Route 17 because it is a major feeder to Interstate 95. The roads meet in Fredericksburg, about 15 miles from the site. "The people we’d cater to primarily would be people going to and coming from Florida,” Mr. Arsenault.
The commission voted Thursday to table consideration of the couple request’s to rezone 31 acres because of questions about the magnitude of the project and concerns about the board array of uses possible if the land were rezoned from agriculture to commercial.
