Country Spirit October 6
Washington Redskins general manager Bobby Beat hard cranes to The Plains, Va. Oct. 6 to kick off the village’s Third Annual Country Spirit Day.
Beathard, who also was asked to act as Grand Marshal for the day, will be among the many men and women competing in The Plains 10K run scheduled to begin at 10 a. m.
Events include craft sales and exhibits, Ham bone’s very popular pig roast, parades and lots of singing and dancing. Special children’s activities such as egg tosses and other games continue throughout the 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. festival.
Admission and parking are free. The Plains is on Rte. 66 Just off Interstate 66, approximately 46 miles southwest of Washington, D.C. For farther information call (706) 268-6804 day or evening.
