Festival Of Leaves 10 K Road Race The annual Festival of Leaves 10 K road race will be held at Warren County Junior High School in Front Royal on Saturday, October 13. Registration fee is $6 and t-shirts will be given to the first 100 entrants. Registration will begin at 8;30 a.m. with the race starting at 10:45 a.m. Trophies will be awarded. Poles and Timbers Reunion The Poles and '^bribers families will hold a reunion at the home of Vivian Gatewood on October 13, beginning at 1 p.m. For more information call 987-8948.
Sperryville 4-H Club To Meet The Sperryville Community 4-H Club will meet on Monday, October 15 at 7 p.m. at the Sperryville fire hall. All members should contact the leader at 967-8058 so projects can be confirmed and project leaders may be contacted by October 12. The club is open to any area youngster between the ages of 9 and 19.
Woodstove Safety A program on using woodstove safely will be presented October 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Washington Fire Hall. Topics will include safety, types of wood, and chimney cleaning procedures. The program is sponsored by the Rappahannock County Extension Service and is open to all.
Microwave Workshop A Microwave Cooking Workshop series will be held at RCHS from 7 to 9 p.m. October 17, 24, 31, November 7, 14 and 21. A minimal fee to cover expenses will be charged each evening. Come and bring a friend. Pre-register by calling the Extension Service at 675-3619 or coming by the office.
Art Workshop Cancelled The acrylics workshops scheduled to be taught by Laurie Marah^ij on October 7 and 27 have been cancelled due to illness. They will be rescheduled in November.
Ladies Auxiliary Dinner Set The Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary will have a dinner following the Rappahannock House Tour on Saturday, October 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the fire hall. Roast beef or fresh ham will be served.
