Over the summer I worked at two 4-H camps; the Rappahannock Cooperative Day Camp and RappahannockOrange-Madison Overnight Camp.

file day camp was a learning experience for the leaders as well as the campers. Because we had very few adult leaders the second week of day camp, the teen were given the responsibility of teaching classes and keeping up with the children.

Overnight camp, although it had plenty of adult leaders, carried plenty of responsibility for the teens, also. We had to keep track of the children, and hardest of all, make sure they had a good time.

At both camps, nearly every child had Am. They especially liked the dances and swimming.

I had a good time as well because the majority of the children were goodnatured and ready to learn. Also, I met many new people and formed lasting friendships with the other teens and staff.
