Roundup By ARCOM News Service Board Eyes Condemnation The Lpudoqn Board of Supervisors appears ready to use its power of eminent domaine to secure a site for a fire and rescue training center. Its five-year search for a “willing seller” of land for the site has turned up more than 60 appropriate parcels, but no one willing to sell. At a committee meeting Friday, board members agreed to drop the “willing seller” criteria from its search, setting the stage for what it hopes will be a “friendly condemnation”. This would allow a landowner to reap certain tax benefits from the actum.
