Far the first time tide year, we hed t senior teem which oonristed of Timmy Fells, April Adams, and Lean Adams to go to the State Fair to compete in the Stockman’s Contest. In the Stockman’s Contest, 4-ITers have to identify different feeds, tools, hays, judge swine, sheep, or beef classes, and judge a class of commercial meet cuts. We hope to take a senior and junior team next year.
Another first for the chib is the pre-4-H participation. These are children under the age of nine who wish to show an animal at the Farm Show. They cannot sell at the sale ending the show. Our pre-4-lt’ers this year included Scotty Updike, Justin Updike, Robbie Reeve, ami Laura McNear. We are hoping our pre-4-H numbers will continue to grow.
Officers for the chib this year are: Laura Adams, president; Timmy Falls, vice-president; April Adams, secretary; Will Adams, reporter; Irvin Starks, treasurer.
The Livestock Club is open to anyone in the county. We are hoping our numbers will continue to grow. Our meetings are the third Monday of each month beginning at 7-.30 p.m. at the courthouse.
