The community was saddened at.> the death of Mrs. Isabelle M. Pettie. Memorial services were held on Sunday at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Those from the community attending her funeral services in Leonard town, Md. were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lilian!, Mrs. James Boyd and daughter Annabelle, Mr. and Mrs. Maury Jenkins and son, Mark.
Mrs. Homer Jenkins and daughter, Mrs. Andy Aylor and Robbie Leake of Etlan visited Homer Jenkins on Sunday in Martinsburg Veterans Hospital. He is improving slowly.
Mrs. Randall Lillard and children visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Foreman and her grandmother, Mrs. Kathryn Foreman in Manassas on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lillard and grandchildren were Friday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Lilian! and Brent of Madison.
Mrs. James W. Fletcher of Sperryville was a luncheon guest on Friday of Mrs. Jean W. Gallihugh at the Mimslyn Hotel in Luray.
Mrs. Delia Leake has returned to her home in Sperryville after spending some time with Mrs. Homer Jenkins.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Russell were in Charlottesville last week when Mr. Russell was at the doctors for a checkup. He is improving after recent heart surgery.
We are pleased to hear that Mrs. John Coates of Brightwood is doing nicely after having major surgery re- * cently. She has many friends and relatives in this community.
Mrs. Jean W. Gallihugh spent the weekend with her son, daughter-in-law and family, Mr. and Mrs. Don Gallihugh, Misty and Jeremy at Louisa. They attended the State Fair in Richmond Sunday where Misty was a participant with the Mary L. Smith Dance School.
