Capt. John Warren will be ordained into the gospel ministry on August 25 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, where he serves as pastor. The service will begin at 1 p.m. and a picnic will follow at Camp Hazel River.

William M. Alphin was recently elected president of the Virginia, Maryland and Delaware Association of Electric Co-operatives. The tri-state association, with headquarters in Richmond, represents 13 electric cooperatives in Virginia, two in Maryland and one in Delaware. Alphin was elected president during the association’s annual meeting held at the Homestead in Hot Springs.
