Laurie Marshall will be somewhat embarrassed by all of the attention heaped upon her in the pages of this week’s publication.
Nonetheless, it is her due.
Laurie announced publicly that she is resigning her position as paid executive director of RAAC, the Rappahannock Assocation for the Arts and the Community. That resignation, will become final in November, roughly two months before she expects to give birth to her second child.
She will be missed.
As the first — and only — paid executive director of RAAC, Laurie was responsible for many of the programs sponsored by RAAC. Her hard work, her management abilities and her artistic abilities were all put to a test. She passed each one.
