A former Ross Industry employee allegedly embezzled at least $4,129.77 from the Midland company which manufactures food processing equipment.
David Jake Rollison, 37, of Route 637, Huntly, has been charged with two counts of embezzling, and more charges may result from a continuing investigation, authorities said.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Charles Foley said the amount could reach $500,000.
Rollison, former Ross comptroller, allegedly embezzled $1,202.31 on June 27. He issued and cashed a false payroll check to Ronald Bruce Rise, according to court records. l He also received and cashed checks worth $2,927.46 from Rise and Waymon E. Boone on July 11, the records state.
Neither Rollison nor defense attorney Jonathan Lynn could be reached for comment this week.
