Mrs. E. A. McNear entertained the Sperryville Bridge Club at her home on Friday evening. Her guests were Mrs. I. R. Kilby, Mrs. Dale Metzinger, Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. W. H. Cordle, Mrs. R. E. Thompsen, Mrs. T. J. Pillar, Mrs. Roy L. Reeve, Mrs. Jack Brown, Mrs. Ulrich Maeyer, Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr., Mrs. Frances Tabler and Mrs. Peggy Pryde.

Prize winners were Mrs. Kilby, Mrs. Pride, Mrs. Metzinger and Mrs. Brown.

Hampson Keyser of Del Ray Beach, Fla., has been visiting his sister, Mrs. Mary Gardner Edmonds in Huntly and Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Lindsey and Dr. J. P. Snead in Middletown. Mrs. Mary Quaintance, Mr. Keyser, Dr. Snead and Mrs. Edmonds were dinner guests Monday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Pres Pulliam in Warrenton.

David Aylor of Woodbridge has been spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Ranny Aylor and Heather Aylor.

Mrs. Robert W. Brown and Mrs. Donald Carroll went on a bus tour to Berkeley Springs, W. Va., last Wednesday. The trip was sponsored by the AARP group from Fauquier County.

Mr. and Mrs. James Swindler have returned home after spending a few days with Mrs. Swindler’s mother, Mrs. Helen Pszenny, in Salem, Mass.

Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Bain at the Black Kettle in Washington were Mrs. Ulrich Maeyer and son, Jonathan, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Wood, Jr., Mrs. Julia Wood of Woodville, their houseguest, Charlie Lee Quaintance of New York, and Mrs. Mary Quaintance.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Golden and Mrs. Betty Jane Hite of Front Royal were guests last Tuesday of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Hawkins.

Mrs. Rodes Brown, Jr., was a weekend guest of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lenny Mear in King George.

Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Brown of Hanover, Pa., were overnight guests Tuesday of Mrs. Roy L. Reeve. Joining them for breakfast Wednesday morning were Mrs. Jane Dempsey of Denver, Colo:, and Mrs. Sybil Lowe of Luray. Lil Reeve and her children spent the weekend.

Peachey Moncure Lyne of Warrenton spent the weekend with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lyne.

Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nethers attended the wedding of their grandson, Richard Bolyard, to Laura Olejnik on August 17 at the Catholic Church of the Resurrection in Solon, Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bolyard of Keyser, W. Va., are spending a few days this week with Mr. and Mrs. Nethers.

Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Wingfield have returned from a vacation through the New England states.
