LFCC registration set „ R?*Stt^?tion for'tsJ1 quarter courses aCfcord Fairfax Community College m Middletown will begin today. Returning students, those who have taken credit courses at LFCC, can register today from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Open registration is set for September 3-4 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Senior citizens eligible for free tuition can register on September 6 from noon to 3 p.m. Registration is conducted on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis. Tuition is due at the time of registration. Returning students who have not attended for more than one year will need to complete an application for re-admission. New students are asked to complete their application as soon as possible to avoid delays during their registration. Applications submitted after August 26 should be hand carried to the registration process. Schedule changes are not permitted until the drop/add period of September 9-18. The admissions office is closed on Saturday and Sunday. The first day of fall classes is set for September 9. The college also announces that a hot-line service has been installed to provide mere information about fall registration. When calling the school at 869-1120, the hot line is available by asking for the “registration hot line. ” The line is available during the registration sessions. Also, LFCC announces that it is offering pre-licensing courses for prospective insurance agents. The courses, entitled “agents’ property and casualty training” and “agents’ life and health training,” are designed to provide the 45 hours of instruction required before applying for an examination for a certificate of qualification. The courses have been scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday nights, and the tuition for Virginia residents is set at $83.75 for each course! More information may be obtained by calling the school at 869-1120. The school is also scheduling a course called "fundamentals of tax preparation” to be offered Monday nights. The non-credit course is designed to prepare a student for an entrylevel position as a paid tax preparer for the 1986 tax season. Tuition for the course is set at $160.
