“Well, Dolly, I have to go now. I have five new children by my latest husband and lots of work to do on the farm. It’s been great seeing you. Who are those two handsome young men waiting for you?”
“Yes, Panda, I, too, must take my leave. I am very busy with the two young men this summer. They have important jobs in Washington, D. C., and I help soothe their nerves when they get home each night.
“We relax by playing frisbee and ball until it’s dark. The boys will be going back to college in the fall and my parents will need me more than ever. We have two cats, Nicki and Tammy but, as you know, they are independent and don’t give of themselves as we do.
“So, Panda, we each were given a different, but joyful, road to travel. We both have made compromises. No one could say who is the more fortunate. We both have been blessed.!”
“Yes, Dolly, I hear my master calling. I hope we will meet again whether in the big sheep farm in the sky or in the big back yard of Mount Vernon.”
The two sisters wagged their tails goodbye and they parted company.
