Satan continuously becomes more clever in pursuing the goal of elevating himself to the position of God. I did not say he has become more wise, only more clever. He is not wise at all, nor are those who follow him, for the Bible tell us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. He is not ignorant of what the Bible says, but he and his followers choose not to believe it.
In his cleverness one of his primary methods of operation is to counterfeit the things of God. God is good, pure and righteous — so Satan tries (quite successfully sometimes) to make himself appear to be the same (2 Cor. 11:1315). Many of us have heard of Satan worship, but relatively few realize the existence of the Luciferian religions (from the name Lucifer). Generally speaking, Satan worship recognizes Satan as evil and joins him in that evil, but the Luciferian religions maintain that God is evil and that Satan is the righteous one. These Luciferian religions are often disguised as fraternal organizations, and the counterfeiting is done so well that even many people in the organizations do not realize what they are really in. When they pay homage to a “supreme being” or a “higher power” or “the God of my understanding” without identifying him as the God of the Bible they may not realize that they are
