Park accepting
applications
The summer of 1985 may be coming to a close, but the National Park Service is already planning its job force for the 1986 season.
The service suggests that anyone interested in working in the national park should file an application between September 1 and January 15, 1986.
Jobs available include collecting fees at entrance stations, road ana campground patrols and interpretation of area resources.
To qualify, a person must be at least 18 years old or a high school graduate, be in good physical condition and meet the educational or work experience requirements of the position desired. Employees in the law enforcement area must at least 18 years old.
Applicants should contact either the personnel office at Shenandoah National Park at 999-2243 or the Seasonal Employment Unit.
The park also hires temporary laborers to augment its permanent work force. Applications for those positions should be postmarked no later than Jam ry 15, 1986. Interested persons should contact the personnel office of the park at Rt. 4, Box 292, Luray, Va.,
