In village mixed use areas the specific special permit uses are (in addition to those listed for residential areas): • Single apartment or apartment houses. • Museums. • Retail uses of less than 700 square feet on the ground floor of new construction or a converted residential structure. • Retail uses of not less than 700 nor more than 2000 square feet in an existing retail space, or an existing structure used for retail within the last 50 years, or where no residential use is feasible. • Bed and breakfasts. • Hotels and restaurants. • Houses of worship. • Schools, parks and playgrounds. • Commercial signs.
Special use permits will be issued for the following uses in village service areas (including those listed above): • Clubs and lodges (with bona fide memberships) • Offices in buildings not more than two stories and not more than 1600 square feet on the ground floor. • Craft occupations in other than existing retail space.
Rural residential zones are permitted all of the above special use permits uses plus the following: • Home industries. • Private agricultural production, packing, processing and storage. • Dog kennels.
