Planners

Continued from page 1 taken down every night and (2) the highway Department okays the entrance and exit arrangements.

In other action at last week’s session, the Planners:

-found that family land divisions made subsequent to issuance of a special use permit for migrant worker housing to orchardists George and Sally Sharp did not invalidate that permit.

-decided they didn’t have sufficient information to make a recommendation to the BZA on Languin and Pearl Barron’s request for a variance to setback regulations to construct an addition on their residence, located on 5.8 acres on Route 645 near Rappahannock Lakes.

- held a short, pro forma public hearing on a subdivision ordinance amendment that would direct appeals for subdivision ordinance exceptions to the Board of Supervisors rather than the circuit court. The change comes in response to a recent ruling from the Virginia Supreme Court and is on the agenda for the Board’s next meeting.
